Job summary

The University of Rochester seeks a seasoned communications leader within Human Resources to develop and implement complex communications strategies, advise senior leadership, and align HR programs with university goals.

You will supervise staff, manage change communications, and ensure high-quality content across websites, newsletters, emails, videos, and other channels to engage faculty and staff across the university and URMC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in a strategic communications role.
• Experience overseeing HR communications in higher education preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees development and implementation of effective communication plans for HR programs and policies.
• Provides leadership and counsel to HR and university executives on complex decisions.
• Supervises communications and change management staff and measures progress via employee engagement methods.
• Develops content across channels (articles, emails, PowerPoints, brochures, videos, etc.) to support HR strategy.
