Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Director of Hospital Revenue Management to lead hospital billing, insurance collections, cash posting, denial management, and related revenue-cycle activities across Baptist Health Alabama facilities.

This executive directs budgeting, quality reviews, staff development, and process-improvement initiatives, partnering with clinical and operational leaders to optimize cash flow and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience with 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle leadership.
• HFMA or AAHAM certification preferred.
• Experience in hospital revenue management and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue management across more than ten hospital facilities and outpatient services.
• Lead hospital billing, insurance collections, cash posting, denial management, and accounts receivable management.
• Collaborate with departments to reduce billing delays and improve financial outcomes.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging, contractual adjustments, and variance resolution.
• Partner with Revenue Management Analytics to track performance through KPIs and metrics.
• Develop and manage project plans for vendor implementations and transition service agreements.
• Drive process improvements and establish departmental policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to managers and staff.
• Manage departmental budgets and ensure performance aligns with financial targets.
• Communicate regulatory changes impacting revenue cycle operations.
• Oversee productivity tracking, reporting, quality initiatives, and special projects.
