Job summary

Continuum Hospice and Palliative Care / Shalom Hospice seeks a Director of Field Operations to provide operational and clinical leadership across field-based hospice services in Washington. You will supervise Clinical Managers, support Admission Nurses, and drive quality, compliant care while guiding staff development and team performance.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license in Washington state.
• Minimum of 3-5 years in hospice leadership or healthcare management.
• Experience supervising clinical staff and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and quality standards.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with QAPI and performance improvement preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and operational oversight to Clinical Managers overseeing multiple clinical teams.
• Supervise Admission Nurses and coordinate scheduling and education.
• Support clinical staffing, workflow planning, and problem-solving across teams.
• Lead leadership development, coaching, and performance improvement efforts.
• Collaborate to ensure consistent hospice operations and regulatory readiness.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and QAPI activities.
• Communicate with physicians, teams, and community partners to advance goals.
