Job summary

RCC is seeking a Director of High Voltage to lead and build a North America HV engineering design team, with offices in Austin/Round Rock, Denver, Calgary, and Toronto, or a remote arrangement.

The Director will oversee engineering operations, ensure design integrity, manage budgets, and drive proposals, client relationships, and project execution for renewable and utility market HV projects in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering required.
• PE license or ability to obtain license preferred.
• US work authorization required.
• Strong knowledge of IEEE/ANSI standards and relevant codes.
• Minimum 5 years of personnel and project leadership experience.
• Renewable and utility HV substation and/or transmission experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow High Voltage engineering team (Substation and Transmission).
• Lead budgeting, scheduling, and execution of projects.
• Guide proposal development and technical design packages.
• Mentor managers and develop power delivery capabilities.
• Engage with stakeholders and industry associations; drive business development.
