  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical or life sciences commercial/brand marketing experience.
  • Experience in hematology, oncology, or related specialty preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing brand strategy and marketing plans.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, customer segmentation, positioning, messaging, and promotional strategy.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to turn market data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience managing external agencies and vendors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of brand marketing strategies and annual brand plans within hematology.
  • Develop differentiated brand positioning, messaging, and value propositions based on market dynamics and insights.
  • Translate market insights into actionable commercial strategies and tactics.
  • Partner with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Market Research, and Commercial Operations to align objectives.
  • Support development and implementation of promotional materials, campaigns, and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Analyze the hematology market, competitive landscape, and treatment trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with market research and analytics teams to incorporate insights into brand strategy.
  • Contribute to forecasting, budget planning, and performance tracking for assigned brands.
  • Lead and manage external agency partners and vendors as needed.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives comply with promotional, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Present brand strategies and performance updates to senior leadership.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Director, Hematology Marketing to join the Brand Marketing team and help lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives within the hematology portfolio.


This individual will play a key role in shaping brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and commercial initiatives while working closely with cross-functional partners across commercial, medical, market access, sales, and other key functions. The ideal candidate brings strong pharmaceutical marketing experience, a deep understanding of the hematology landscape, and the ability to translate market insights into impactful brand strategies and execution.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and execution of brand marketing strategies and annual brand plans within hematology.

  • Develop differentiated brand positioning, messaging, and value propositions based on market dynamics, customer insights, and competitive intelligence.

  • Translate market and customer insights into actionable commercial strategies and tactics.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Market Research, Commercial Operations, and other stakeholders to align brand objectives and execution.

  • Support the development and implementation of promotional materials, campaigns, and customer-facing initiatives.

  • Analyze the hematology market, competitive landscape, treatment trends, and evolving customer needs to identify opportunities and potential challenges.

  • Work closely with market research and analytics teams to incorporate customer and market insights into brand strategy.

  • Contribute to forecasting, budget planning, and performance tracking for assigned brands.

  • Lead and manage external agency partners and other vendors as needed.

  • Ensure marketing initiatives are executed in accordance with applicable pharmaceutical promotional, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

  • Present brand strategies, recommendations, and performance updates to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Help identify opportunities to optimize the brand's commercial impact throughout the product lifecycle.


Required Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree such as an MBA, PharmD, MPH, or related degree is a plus.

  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical or life sciences commercial/brand marketing experience, with increasing responsibility.

  • Experience in hematology, oncology, or a closely related specialty strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing brand strategy and marketing plans.

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, customer segmentation, positioning, messaging, and promotional strategy.

  • Experience working cross-functionally within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to turn complex market information into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience managing external agencies and vendors.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with hematologic malignancies or specialty hematology products.

  • Experience supporting a product launch or major lifecycle initiative.

  • Experience working across HCP and/or patient marketing.

  • Experience with market research, competitive intelligence, and customer insights.

  • Previous experience presenting to senior commercial leadership.

  • Strong understanding of the U.S. pharmaceutical market and healthcare landscape.
