Job summary

Wright State University in Dayton, OH seeks a Director for the Center for Health Professions to lead student programming, workforce partnerships, and experiential learning across health programs.

The role directs strategic initiatives, builds academic-practice collaborations with employers and community partners, and advances pathways that connect students to graduate education and healthcare careers at the university’s College of Health and Human Services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, healthcare administration, public health, education, counseling, business, a health profession, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, healthcare, workforce development, student programming, community engagement, academic-practice partnerships, or a related area.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory, administrative, program leadership, or project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects, resources, budgets, or operational initiatives.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement initiatives aligned with institutional priorities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Center for Health Professions.
• Advance health professions pathways, student programming, experiential learning opportunities, healthcare workforce partnerships, and academic-practice partnerships.
• Collaborate with academic programs, healthcare employers, and community partners to align student preparation with workforce needs.
• Develop strategic partnerships and oversee the Center's portfolio of health professions initiatives.
• Position the Center as a hub for health professions exploration and workforce engagement within the university.
