Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Director of Health Information Management to lead system-wide data quality initiatives and ensure compliant documentation and coding for inpatient and outpatient services. The role oversees electronic medical records, privacy, and information governance across the health system.

The position requires RHIA certification within one year, a Bachelor's in HIM, and at least five years of hospital HIM leadership.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management required.
• RHIA certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum five years of hospital HIM leadership experience.
• Experience with inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory coding and CDI preferred.
• Experience with Meditech is desired.
• Must be able to travel daily to Samaritan System worksites.

Responsabilidades

• Lead department HIM operations, coding accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee data collection, storage, retrieval, filing and retention of medical records/data.
• Develops and monitors departmental goals and KPIs, and stays current on regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and analyze clinical data for research and process improvement; support utilization management.
• Manage department budget and staff development, performance management and communication.
