Feast & Fettle is seeking a Director, Growth Marketing (Lifecycle + Paid) to join our Marketing and Growth Team. This is a hybrid role open to candidates across the Northeast Corridor — Providence, RI; Boston, MA; Hartford/New Haven, CT; New York Metro; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; and Washington, D.C. You'll be on-site at our Providence, RI headquarters ~5 days per month.
What is Feast & Fettle?
Feast & Fettle is the fastest-growing meal delivery service in the Northeast—and that momentum comes from a team of smart, kind people who show up to build, not just keep up. We move with urgency, sweat the right details, and bring care to everything we touch.
What began in 2016 as a private chef’s side hustle has grown into a company serving thousands of households, with a mission that’s both simple and personal: to nourish everyday life. That mission shows up in every detail—from how we source ingredients and plan our weekly menus to the care in every delivery and the trust we build at our Members’ tables.
We care for our people the same way we care for our Members—with consistency, thoughtfulness, and a constant drive to raise the standard. We invest in our team because we know: when you’re supported, you do your best work—and help us do ours.
What you’ll do:
You’ll own both halves of the funnel — how we acquire Members and how we keep them — along with the budget behind it.
Paid and Acquisition
- Own the paid plan and budget across Meta (primary), Google Search, out-of-home, and all existing + new paid media channels. This is one of the largest line items on our P&L.
- Build and maintain a marketing mix model (MMM) across all paid channels, not just paid social.
- Design and run incrementality tests (geo holdouts, ghost ads, MMM-based lift) to check platform-reported numbers against reality.
- Own channel mix, CAC, LTV, payback period, and spend pacing.
- Partner with Content + Creative on creative testing: brief it, measure it, and act on what wins.
- Lead pre-launch demand generation as we open new markets.
Lifecycle and CRM
- Own our lifecycle program across email, SMS, and direct mail: welcome and onboarding, first purchase, activation, subscription and renewal, win-back and reactivation, and gifting.
- Build behavioral segmentation and triggered journeys against our customer data model, with clear entry criteria, branching logic, and exit conditions.
- Develop churn-risk segmentation and the save messaging that goes with it.
- Build and optimize the landing pages that support lifecycle campaigns.
- Partner with Member Services on offline retention and win-back programs.
Measurement and team
- Own full-funnel reporting: retention, churn, reactivation rate, LTV, AOV, CAC, contribution margin, ROAS, and MER (media efficiency ratio). Build the standing report leadership runs on.
- Define each metric as a computable measure with a numerator, denominator, window, and query. Platform reporting is directional; the warehouse is the source of truth.
- Run an always-on testing program across audience, message, timing, channel, and offer.
- Manage and develop a team of two, starting with a Marketing Operations Specialist.
What we’re looking for:
- 7+ years across lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing and paid media acquisition. We need both. This role doesn’t work as a lifecycle expert who dabbles in paid, or the reverse.
- Proven ability to manage $100K+/month in paid media spend.
- Experience designing and interpreting incrementality tests.
- Strong analytical skills with fluency in contribution margin and financial modeling.
- Direct accountability for a paid budget at meaningful scale, measured on CAC, payback period, LTV, and ROAS rather than impressions.
- Hands‑on platform depth in marketing automation. We run on HubSpot; Braze, Klaviyo, Iterable, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience also works.
- Hands‑on in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads. Out-of-home experience is a plus.
- SQL and comfort in a data warehouse. We run on BigQuery; Snowflake or similar experience transfers fine. You should be able to pull and define your own numbers rather than wait on an analyst.
- Experience building or commissioning a marketing mix model, or a credible approach to building one here.
- Fluent with AI tools in daily practice. You use them to write and QA SQL, generate and test copy variants at volume, build segmentation hypotheses, and compress work that used to take days. We want someone operating at the front edge of this, not someone who has heard of it.
- A point of view on where AI belongs in lifecycle and paid, and where it doesn’t. You should be able to name a place you tried it and stopped.
- A working command of subscription retention: churn drivers, cohort behavior, LTV, and reactivation.
- Strong testing discipline, A/B and multivariate, and the honesty to kill what doesn’t perform.
- People management experience. You’ll be hiring and running a team of two from a standing start.
- Clear, efficient writing. You’ll brief copy rather than finalize it, but you’ll know when it’s off.
- Subscription, DTC or e-commerce background a huge plus.
What you get:
$150,000 – $185,000 base salary, depending on experience and location
Here, you’ll find comprehensive benefits that make a difference in your daily well‑being, along with a safe, welcoming, and energized workplace culture committed to providing the opportunity for every team member to thrive.
