Feast & Fettle is hiring a VP of People to join our team based in Providence, Rhode Island or Baltimore, Maryland.

What You’ll Do

• Evolve Feast & Fettle's people strategy, shaping how we hire, develop, and retain talent as we scale across multiple states and facilities.
• Set the org design and workforce plan that scales with new markets, and seasonal demand cycles, while maintaining adherence to our core people philosophy.
• Partner in the business to develop a perspective on where the org needs to be in 6, 12, 24 months, and build the plan to get there.
• Understand the context of the employees, departments, and company well enough that every people decision serves the business’s growth and direction.

People Operations & Systems

• Build and scale people operations systems that are clear, compliant, and human-centered, across multi-location operations and corporate functions.
• Create self-service tools for employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning that empower individual contributors, supervisors, and managers alike.
• Build recruiting engines for our distinct employee bases, responsive enough to flex with seasonal staffing ups and downs.
• Improve retention, development, engagement, and daily lived experience for employees, grounding every program in the operational realities of how the business actually runs.

Culture & Growth

• Operationalize culture through programming. Building community and a shared sense of belonging is core to our culture.
• Build training, leadership development, and growth pathways across all levels and languages, ground that is responsive to the realities of our workforce.
• Define what strong leadership looks like at Feast & Fettle, and deploy that standard through robust L&D programming across the company.
• Curate, don't dictate. Culture is grassroots. Your job is to amplify the good and work to mitigate the bad. Put another way, your role’s relationship with culture is not to create, but to amplify what works and invest in what doesn't.
• Build and lead the people team: define roles, set clear goals, and give everyone a clear sense of what they own and what winning looks like.
• Set the cadence, from goals to check-ins, that keeps the team focused and connected to the broader people strategy.
• Partner with the Executive team on organizational design and implications of major business decisions.
• Bring modern tools, including AI, to keep the function lean and effective as we grow.

• You think end to end about the employee experience, from recruiting through onboarding, development, and performance to enable our internal goals around economic mobility for our teams.
• You communicate clearly and concisely at every level of the org, and you tailor how you communicate to who you're talking to.
• You see structure as a form of care and build systems that give people clarity and accountability.
• You're humble enough to seek input while developing a lens, but are decisive and action-oriented once you've developed a perspective.
