Job summary

The YMCA of Catawba Valley seeks a Grant Implementation and Academic Director to lead the day-to-day execution of its 21st CCLC programs in Morganton, NC. You will supervise staff, ensure grant compliance, manage budgets, and drive program quality across multiple sites.

You will oversee academic programming, family engagement, and evaluation, while coordinating with leadership to meet grant deliverables and safeguarding compliance with safety and personnel policies.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field and minimum three years of progressive leadership experience.
• Experience with program budgets, financial tracking, grant compliance, and monitoring is strongly preferred.
• Experience with federal or state grant-funded programs, including 21st CCLC, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day implementation of the 21st CCLC grant across all funded sites.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, coach, and evaluate Site Coordinators and Student & Grant Support Specialist.
• Ensure staffing, attendance, family engagement, and grant deliverables meet grant requirements.
• Provide leadership for academic programming, tutoring, enrichment, SEL, and student supports.
• Conduct site visits, observations and reviews, addressing concerns for consistency.
• Review data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and monitor spending plans and budget-to-actual performance.
• Oversee grant deliverables, reporting, evaluation, and audits.
