Job summary

Arc 3 Communications is seeking a Director of Government Relations for the Midwest region to join our advocacy team in Chicago, Illinois. This Chicago-based role focuses on state and local government engagement across the Midwest with travel up to 25%.

You will develop and manage state and local government relations for Arc 3 clients, advocating before policymakers, coordinating with trade associations, and building grassroots networks. The incumbent reports to the President.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in federal, state and/or local government relations or lobbying.
• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university.
• Maintain highest personal levels of ethical conduct and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, identify, and track legislative and regulatory activities and determine lobbying strategy.
• Research information on elected officials and proposed legislation impacting clients or industry.
• Monitor the regional political environment, campaigns, ballot initiatives and bonds.
• Manage client budgets for government relations activities.
• Represent clients at trade association shows attended by officials.
• Collaborate with team to create policy positioning and messaging.
• Lobbyist compliance and reporting.
