Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Director of Contracts to lead a high-performing contracts team and ensure compliance with government and commercial contracts. You will mentor staff, drive efficient contract management, and maintain strong relationships with government counterparts to meet milestones and obligations.

Qualifications include US citizenship, 12+ years in contract management, and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience (16+ years total work experience).
• 12+ years of contract administration or contract management experience.
• US Citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate Government contracts, commercial contracts, NDAs, teaming agreements and IP licenses.
• Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of Government and commercial contracts; interface for contract changes, disputes, or adjustments.
• Assist in proposal review and preparation in response to solicitations; respond to information requests.
• Review and advise internal clients on contract provisions and agreement types.
• Develop and evolve processes for efficient contract management with cross-functional partners.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Government and other customer counterparts.
• Manage a small team of contracts professionals.
