Job summary

RFCUNY’s LaGuardia Community College APEX Accelerator seeks a Director to lead program strategy, compliance, and operations. You will supervise a team, manage budgets, and report outcomes to DoW OSBP and the host institution while engaging federal partners and prime contractors.

The role requires strong procurement and government contracting expertise, superior communication skills, and the ability to travel regionally and nationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s preferred.
• Five+ years of purchasing/procurement or government contracting experience.
• Two+ years of supervisory or program management experience.
• Knowledge of FAR and government contracting/subcontracting requirements for small businesses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership of the APEX Accelerator and strategic program direction.
• Oversee counselors, training, and client engagements via workshops, webinars, and sessions.
• Manage budget, cost-share, and reporting to DoW OSBP and host-institution.
• Ensure compliance with FAR and related procurement regulations; coordinate audits and site visits.
• Develop partnerships with government agencies, primes, and small business organizations.
