Job summary

RFCUNY Research Foundation of the City University of New York seeks a Procurement Counselor at LaGuardia Community College, APEX Accelerator. This full-time, in-person role reports to the Director and focuses on counseling clients, supporting primes, and assisting with city, state, and federal contracting.

Duties include maintaining electronic client records, downloading solicitations, delivering government-sector training, researching bid opportunities, and coordinating with government agencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of business-related work experience in finance, procurement, or counseling.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Monday.com).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and maintain a marketing/outreach program to attain goals and recruit clients within the APEX service area.
• Establish relationships with prime contractors, government agencies, and small business organizations to support initiatives.
• Serve as a SME on government contracting topics and maintain electronic client databases.
• Develop and deliver government sector training onsite or via webinar.
• Perform web-based research and analysis for clients, primes, and agencies.
• Assist clients in locating bid opportunities and preparing bids and certifications.
