Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Director, Tier 2 Components Supply Chain to lead the world­wide sourcing, commercial, and supply strategy for its Tier2 electronics, electromechanical, and mechanical components. You will manage a multi-billion-dollar portfolio and a team of ~20 professionals in North America.

The role demands strategic thinking, elite negotiation, and the ability to build diverse supply bases, partner with Engineering, and drive resilience, cost performance, and supplier quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, supply chain, or commodity management, including 5+ years leading teams.
• Significant Tier2 supplier experience, including managing sub-tier capacity, lead times, constraints and risk.
• Proven track record leading high-value negotiations and delivering cost performance.
• Deep understanding of automotive electronics supply chains and sub-tier dynamics.
• Experience owning sourcing execution across a full vehicle program lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own the global category strategy for end-to-end Tier2 electronic and mechanical component portfolio.
• Deliver annual commercial and design cost efficiency commitments across the portfolio.
• Lead sourcing execution for major future vehicle programs with engineering alignment.
• Direct the sourcing and long-term supply strategy for each component category.
• Shape and diversify the global supply base with dual-source and regional capability.
• Own supply resilience: inventory, contracts, and risk mitigation.
• Partner with semiconductor sourcing to secure silicon supply and terms.
• Drive supplier quality and warranty performance improvements.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply to global production and service operations.
• Lead executive reviews with strategic suppliers and drive improvement plans.
