Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a senior tax leader to own the global income tax provision under ASC 740 and to guide ETR forecasting and related disclosures.

The role interfaces with the Controller, external auditors, and the Audit Committee to ensure accuracy and SOX compliance in a multinational tech environment. You will lead a team of tax accounting professionals, drive automation of the provision process, and collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, and International Tax.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA required.
• Masters in taxation or JD/LLM.
• 5+ years heading up the tax provision function at a large multinational company in high tech.
• 15+ years of progressive tax accounting experience, including significant time in a public company or Big 4 national tax office.
• Deep, hands-on ASC 740 expertise — complex multinational provisions, uncertain tax positions, and valuation allowance analysis.
• Experience with SEC reporting requirements and SOX 404 control environments.
• Strong command of US international tax concepts (GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F) and their financial statement impact.
• Experience presenting to senior finance leadership and external auditors.
• People management experience with a demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end global income tax provision under ASC 740.
• Direct ETR calculation, forecasting, and variance analysis; present drivers to leadership.
• Oversee tax accounting for stock-based compensation, R&D capitalization, GILTI/Subpart F, BEAT, Pillar Two, and other provisions.
• Prepare income tax footnotes, MD&A disclosures, and rate reconciliation for filings.
• Serve as control owner for tax accounting SOX key controls; document, test, and remediate.
