Role Purpose

The Director of Talent Development leads learning and leadership development initiatives for employees and leaders globally. This role manages a team and serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on talent development, organizational upskilling, and learning innovations. The position reports to the VP of Talent Management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement a talent development strategy aligned with business priorities and growth.
  2. Create future-focused learning solutions that are adaptive and integrated into the workflow.
  3. Collaborate with business units to facilitate learning for approximately 50,000 employees across various regions and roles.
  4. Drive innovation in learning approaches responding to emerging trends and business needs.
  5. Utilize diverse delivery methods, including in-person, virtual, and digital platforms, to maximize engagement and behavioral change.
  6. Leverage technologies such as AI, immersive learning, and analytics to improve learning impact and efficiency.
  7. Develop scalable learning experiences for all employee levels, including technical experts and plant staff.
  8. Measure improvements in capability, engagement, and organizational performance.
  9. Redefine meeting and development strategies in high-priority areas like AI and analytics.
  10. Lead a global team of learning professionals with deep expertise and understanding of adult learning principles.
Experiences/Education - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven senior leadership experience in Talent Development or Learning within a global, diverse environment.
  • Strong strategic vision aligned with business needs.
  • Excellent collaborative leadership skills, capable of working with senior stakeholders and leading diverse teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with skills in analytics to assess needs and measure impact.
Experiences/Education - Desired
  • Advanced degree in Organizational Development, Learning & Development, HR, Business, or related fields.

Location: Corning, NY or Charlotte, NC

Travel: 10%

Team Size: 10 (plus indirect regional teams)

The salary range is $172,964 - $237,826 annually, dependent on various factors including experience and location. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), pension, insurance, disability, and PTO.
