Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Director, Global Therapeutic Area Operations within Innovative Medicine Communications & Public Affairs. This hybrid role can sit in Spring House, Horsham, Titusville, Raritan, or New Brunswick offices.

The role partners with senior leaders to build Communities of Practice, standardize CPA deliverables, and drive governance across global teams. A strong background in communications strategy and change management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred in Communications, Public Affairs, Business, Organizational Effectiveness, Change Management, Healthcare, Public Policy or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in communications, public affairs, organizational effectiveness, change management, business operations, capability building or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience working in complex global matrixed organizations with multiple senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of communications and public affairs strategy, including the role of communications in driving business, reputation, access, policy and stakeholder outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Therapeutic Area Vice Presidents and senior leaders to develop Communities of Practice as engines for shared learning and collaboration.
• Define common standards and quality benchmarks for CPA deliverables such as launch plans and messaging frameworks.
• Lead governance, planning cycles, and KPI tracking across global CPA teams.
• Coordinate talent and capability-building priorities with HR and the global HUB, focusing on CommTech, AI, measurement.
