Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director of Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing to lead complex sourcing engagements for private equity clients across the U.S. You will shape strategic procurement programs, drive supplier negotiations, and coordinate cross-functional teams to improve EBITDA.

Ideal candidates bring 10–15+ years in consulting or industry, deep direct-material knowledge, and PE experience. Travel up to 80% is expected with a comprehensive benefits package and career growth

Qualifications

10-15+ years of combined consulting and/or industry operating experience.
Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm or Big-4 consultancy REQUIRED.
Demonstrated track record leading sustainable high-impact strategic sourcing approaches.
Experience with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies; direct/indirect category focus.
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver project work streams for complex client engagements with Private Equity teams.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet growth and financial objectives.
Lead supplier identification, approval, contract pricing negotiations and vendor relations.
Develop implementation plans to drive changes in procurement and sourcing initiatives.
Direct teams to conduct analysis and deliver results on procurement projects.
