Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a global consulting firm, seeks a Director of Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing to lead complex engagements across the private equity performance improvement practice. You will guide sourcing strategies, manage supplier relations, and drive EBITDA improvements for portfolio companies.

The role requires deep direct materials expertise, 10-15+ years of combined consulting/industry experience, and travel up to 80%. Open to all U.S.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of combined consulting and/or industry operating experience.
• Previous advisory experience from a top-tier firm or Big-4 required.
• Deep sourcing and procurement expertise across direct materials.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver project workstreams for complex engagements.
• Understand a client’s procurement organization and strategic sourcing capabilities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies integrated with forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and distribution/ logistics.
• Develop and manage efforts in sourcing and procurement.
• Lead supplier identification, approval, contract/pricing negotiations and vendor relations.
• Develop implementation plans to drive proposed changes in procurement and sourcing initiatives.
• Effectively perform analysis and/or lead teams to conduct analysis as needed.
