Abilene Christian University seeks a Director for the Office of International Students and Visiting Scholars to lead immigration compliance for F-1 and J-1 programs, serving as PDSO and RO. The role oversees operations, partnerships, and technology platforms to support international students and scholars.

You will advise university leadership, coordinate with federal agencies, and manage a team to ensure accurate records, compliant processes, and timely responses to regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Progressively responsible experience in international student and scholar services, immigration compliance, or related higher education functions.
• Experience as a Designated School Official (DSO) and leadership roles preferred.
• Ability to interpret complex federal regulations and translate into practical processes.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and administer ACU’s international student and visiting scholar immigration compliance functions as PDSO/RO for F-1 and J-1 programs.
• Set office priorities, improve policies, procedures, and workflows for compliance and service quality.
• Advise university leaders and stakeholders on immigration matters and coordinate with federal agencies.
• Oversee onboarding, partnerships, and integration of international students and scholars across university units.
• Provide leadership for data integrity, records management, and systems like SEVIS, Slate, Banner, and Workday.
• Supervise staff and cultivate professional development aligned with ACU’s Christian mission.
