Abilene Christian University is seeking a Director for the Office of International Students and Visiting Scholars to provide leadership and hands‑on administration of F‑1 and J‑1 immigration programs. The role includes serving as PDSO and RO, coordinating compliance, services, and partnerships across Admissions, Student Life, Research, and other offices.

The successful candidate will guide operations, oversee data, policies, and training, and lead a team of staff and designated officials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in international student and scholar services or immigration compliance.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into institutional processes.
• Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership.

Responsabilités

• Lead and administer ACU’s international student and visiting scholar immigration compliance function (PDSO/RO).
• Set office priorities, improve policies, and manage data, metrics, and reporting.
• Advise faculty, staff, and students on immigration matters and coordinate with federal agencies.
• Oversee onboarding and partnerships to support international students and scholars.
• Supervise staff and provide ongoing professional development.
