Job summary

Revelyst, a global leader in performance gear, seeks a Director of Global Sourcing to drive strategy and supplier partnerships across the globe. Based in Irvine, CA, you will lead a cross-functional team to optimize cost, quality, and supply continuity for racing helmets and components.

You will shape sourcing roadmaps, negotiate complex contracts, and ensure ethical sourcing while collaborating with R&D, Operations, and Finance to accelerate innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10–15+ years in global sourcing or procurement with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in managing international sourcing teams and global supplier networks.
  • Deep understanding of helmet manufacturing processes (injection molding, composites, EPS foam, textiles).
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier development skills.
  • Experience supporting new product development and cross-functional work.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and decision-making abilities.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships for quality and cost competitiveness.
  • Drive year-over-year cost savings via negotiation, VE, and supplier consolidation.
  • Lead supplier selection and onboarding for new product development with timelines and cost targets.
  • Oversee supplier performance management including scorecards and audits.
  • Conduct global market and commodity analysis to identify trends and risks.
  • Champion sustainability, compliance, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance to optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Lead Make vs. Buy analyses and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Negotiate and manage complex supplier agreements including exclusivity and IP protections.

Job Description We are a global leader in high-performance racing helmets, committed to innovation, safety, and excellence. Our products are trusted by elite athletes and motorsport professionals worldwide. As we continue to expand our global footprint, we are seeking a visionary Director of Global Sourcing to lead our sourcing strategy and supplier partnerships across the globe. The Director of Global Sourcing will lead the global sourcing function for our Racing Helmets division, overseeing a team of sourcing professionals across the U.S. and Asia. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive cost efficiency, innovation, quality, and supply continuity. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in global sourcing, supplier development, and cross-functional leadership, with a passion for performance-driven products. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Sourcing - Hardgoods and is based in Irvine, CA (USA).

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead global sourcing strategies for racing helmets and components, ensuring alignment with business goals and product innovation roadmaps.
  • Build and manage a high-performing global sourcing team, fostering collaboration across regions and functions.
  • Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity.
  • Drive year-over-year cost savings through negotiation, value engineering, and supplier consolidation.
  • Lead supplier selection and onboarding for new product development, ensuring alignment with launch timelines and cost targets.
  • Oversee supplier performance management, including scorecards, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct global market and commodity analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Champion sustainability, compliance, and ethical sourcing practices across the supply base.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Finance to optimize total cost of ownership and accelerate innovation.
  • Lead Make vs. Buy analyses and strategic sourcing initiatives to support business growth and margin expansion.
  • Negotiate and manage complex supplier agreements, including exclusivity, IP protection, and long-term contracts.

  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience in global sourcing or procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier development skills.
  • Experience supporting new product development and working in cross-functional environments.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional language(s) a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.

Benefits and Compensation

Pay Range: Annual Salary: $180,000.00 - $190,000.00
