Cast & Crew, a trusted partner to the entertainment industry, seeks a Director, Payroll Tax to lead payroll tax compliance across the United States and Canada, partner with senior leaders, and drive scalable process improvements.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep payroll tax expertise, strong analytics, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with day‑to‑day operations, while building a capable team and ensuring strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive payroll tax experience, including 5+ in leadership
• Strong knowledge of US and Canadian payroll tax regulations
• Experience managing multi-state/multi-jurisdiction operations
• Proven leadership and talent development abilities
• Analytical, project management, and decision-making skills
• Hands-on with AI tools in payroll discipline

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of payroll tax professionals
• Oversee payroll tax filings, payments, and compliance for US/Canada
• Primary contact for regulatory audits and inquiries
• Develop and execute payroll tax strategies with senior leaders
• Identify and implement scalable process improvements
• Oversee year-end payroll tax processing and W-2 reporting
• Maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate impacts
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement system enhancements
