Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks a Director in Global Clinical Supply to lead external vendor relationships and drive end-to-end packaging capabilities.

You will shape supplier strategies, govern performance, and ensure alignment with GCS priorities while guiding cross-functional stakeholders across procurement, finance, and quality. You will communicate complex operational and financial information to senior leaders, enable scalable external partnerships, and foster governance maturity and process

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in corporate environment within pharmaceutical or similar.
• Minimum 5 years experience in clinical supply chain, packaging operations and/or vendor management.
• Strong understanding of cGMP/GDP, including FDA and EMEA.
• Demonstrated strategic ability to develop innovative solutions and business processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with Users, Peers and Sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Define and advance partnership objectives with external vendors and partners.
• Oversee supplier deliverables, timelines, performance, risks, issues, and opportunities.
• Ensure supplier capabilities align with evolving GCS priorities and enterprise goals.
• Drive continuous improvement and governance across the packaging service line and external operations.
