Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Navy Aviation Business Unit Director to plan and execute the Navy book of business and long-term growth strategy for Military Global Sustainment. The role spans East Aurora, NY; Buffalo, NY; Torrance, CA; Wolverhampton, UK. The position is based in East Aurora, NY, with extensive travel.

You will lead strategy, negotiate contracts, and develop leaders to ensure strong customer relationships and sustained growth across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Engineering, Business, or similar discipline.
• MBA or higher degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of sales experience in an MRO field; 15+ years highly desired.
• Certifications in defense procurement or similar training preferred.
• Proven capabilities in budget/forecast planning, negotiation, and sales force management.
• Experience leading multi-site business development activities.
• US Military Officer with related experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Navy book of business and long-term growth strategy.
• Develop and grow Moog’s position in Navy sustainment market.
• Promote intimacy with Moog customers and partners.
• Drive profit contribution and manage pricing, contracts, and risk/opportunity assessments.
• Lead program managers with succession planning for growth and stability.
• Lead proposal teams and capture campaigns to expand book of business.
• Resolve issues through effective communications with customers and Moog teams.
• Monitor budgets and procurement forecasts and translate demand.
• Coordinate with senior management to represent customer needs within Moog.
