Job summary

Tenable seeks a Director, Global Government Affairs (SLED) to lead state and local advocacy for exposure management solutions. You will coordinate with SLED sales leadership to open doors, navigate procurement cycles, and translate policy intelligence into growth actions for regional teams.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in public sector affairs, strong relationships with CIOs/CISOs, and proven experience managing external consultants.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in state and local government affairs or SLED-related fields.
• Experience managing external government affairs consultants and lobbyists.
• Knowledge of state legislative processes, budget cycles, and procurement vehicles.
• Strong written, verbal, and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute state and local advocacy strategies aligned with SLED sales.
• Manage outside government relations consultants and contract lobbyists.
• Monitor state policy developments and translate into actionable growth strategies for field teams.
• Build and sustain relationships with state CIOs, CISOs, and procurement leaders nationwide.
• Track and influence state and local legislation and executive policies affecting cybersecurity and AI adoption.
