Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director (AVP) to join the Global Compliance Commodities team in New York. In this role, you will help oversee regulatory programs and advise on sales and trading practices for physical and derivative commodity products.

You will produce and review reports, interact with regulators and trading teams, draft compliance notices, and lead routine reviews and projects. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, with strong Excel and communications skills, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance or related roles.
• Excel skills are a must.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations for physical and derivative commodity products.
• Strong communications skills and ability to engage with regulators and traders.

Responsibilities

• Production and review of reports.
• Preparing and maintaining hedge exemptions for the business unit.
• Interacting with regulators and with commodities traders and management.
• Drafting Compliance Notices and Compliance Manuals as needed.
• Conducting routine presentations on compliance issues.
• Performing routine compliance reviews and supporting additional projects.
