Job summary

Merck seeks a Director, GCS Continuous Improvement, to lead end-to-end CI across Global Clinical Supply and partner groups. You will drive lean initiatives, kaizen workshops, and data-driven process enhancements, coordinating with GCTO, GDQ, and PSCS teams worldwide. Strong GMP/GCP knowledge is essential.

The role requires extensive CI experience, stakeholder influence, and a track record of deploying improvement projects across multiple units. Travel is involved as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; graduate degree beneficial.
• LSS Black Belt certification or equivalent experience required.
• Experience facilitating kaizen workshops and leading complex projects.
• Understanding of clinical supply chain and GCP/GMP.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and execute CI activities in GCS and partners.
• Lead process improvement, change management, and AAR initiatives.
• Drive CI culture, tools, and education across the organization.
• Collaborate with GCS, GCTO, GDQ, PSCS, Procurement and SMEs.
• Develop analytics, dashboards, KPIs to monitor performance and compliance.
• Coach teams in lean concepts and cross-functional projects.
