Job summary

Braven is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, and decision-support across the organization. You will partner with department leaders, manage multi-year models, and translate strategy into actionable financial plans in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

The role reports to the Chief Finance & Admin Officer and sits on the Finance team within People & Operations, with a hybrid schedule across Atlanta, Chicago, NYC, and Newark.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5+ years of FP&A, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of non-profit experience, budgeting, forecasting, and board-level financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Own the organization-wide budgeting process and partner with leaders to build defensible budgets
• Maintain rolling multi-year forecasts with enrollment, funding, and headcount assumptions
• Build KPI dashboards for leadership, Board, and Finance Committee
• Partner with Development on revenue forecasting and grants/gift commitments
• Own compensation and headcount budget modeling with People Team
• Lead monthly budget-to-actual variance meetings and cash flow forecasting
