Data Entry Specialist – Technical Operations & Luxury Commission Services

The company is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented data entry specialist to streamline retail, wholesale, and marketplace operations across the Pacific Rim. The primary responsibility is to capture purchase order data accurately into the company’s ERP system, ensuring alignment with inventory, sales, and financing processes to support timely and compliant life‑cycle management.

Responsibilities

• Capture PO information from purchase orders and invoices into the ERP system, ensuring correct data entry, coding, and downstream processing.
• Coordinate with business and finance teams to reconcile data, verify trade compliance, account numbering, and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
• Process cross‑border managed merchant services payments, ensuring accurate net and gross calculations for each transaction and resolving discrepancies.
• Monitor queue timing variance, pass‑through rates, and process efficiency metrics to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with data‑tracking and inventory teams to maintain system integrity and support escalation resolution.
• Update data updates and provide field‑level reporting to senior leadership, contributing to dashboards and data‑quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, information systems, or finance.
• 5+ years of experience in an ERP or data‑entry environment, preferably with procurement or retail operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel for data mining and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
• A collaborative, data‑driven approach and a commitment to high standards of accuracy.

Requirements

• Solid background in data entry and ERP systems.

• Strong technical skills including IFRS 17 and US GAAP experience.
• Strong skills with managerial reporting, PowerPoint presentation, and report creation from an Excel cube base.
• Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems.

Preferred

• Public accounting (Big Four) and experience with a multi‑national publicly‑traded company.
• Proficiency with IFRS and NAIC requirements.
• Knowledge of National US GAAP and local US reporting requirements.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting preferred.
• Advanced degree (MAcc, MAC, MBA) preferred.

Position Location

This is a hybrid role based in San Diego, CA. The employee will work onsite 2‑3 days a week and from home 2‑3 days a week.

Work Hours

Position requires Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with occasional overtime based on business needs.
