Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to establish and lead its FP&A function. You will partner with executive leadership and commercial teams to support pricing, deal analysis, strategic planning, forecasting, and financial decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance leader who can build models, processes, and reporting capabilities from the ground up while providing immediate support on complex business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or related discipline.
• Significant finance experience within technology, software, infrastructure, or other complex scaling business.
• Strong experience supporting commercial teams through pricing strategy, deal analysis, contract evaluation, and financial modeling.
• Advanced forecasting, scenario modeling, long-range planning, executive communication, and business-partnering skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the company’s FP&A function, including scalable planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-support processes.
• Own annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives, investment decisions, resource allocation, and business performance.
• Support commercial teams with pricing strategy, deal structuring, customer proposals, contract evaluations, and negotiations.
• Develop financial models to evaluate customer agreements, pricing scenarios, margins, contract economics, and expected returns.
• Build operating models and scenario analyses incorporating revenue, bookings, expenses, headcount, cash requirements, and other key business drivers.
• Develop executive reporting packages, dashboards, performance metrics, and actionable financial insights.
• Support corporate development, transaction analysis, and other strategic cross-functional initiatives.
• Manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to high-impact requests from leadership and business stakeholders.
• Help define the future structure of the FP&A organization and build a team as the company grows.

Our client, a high-growth technology infrastructure company, is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to establish and lead its internal FP&A function.

Location:

This role is hybrid, with in-office attendance expected approximately 2 to 3 days per week in the San Francisco Peninsula area.

Requirements:

• Significant finance experience within technology, software, infrastructure, or another complex and rapidly scaling business
• Strong experience supporting commercial teams through pricing strategy, deal analysis, contract evaluation, and financial modeling
• Advanced forecasting, scenario modeling, long‑range planning, executive communication, and business‑partnering skills
