Job summary

AdventHealth Foundation in Greenwood Village, CO seeks a development professional to engage the board and donors and drive strategic fundraising initiatives. You will coordinate major, planned, and blended gifts while collaborating with hospital leadership and regional teams.

The role requires strong fundraising experience, superb communication skills, and the ability to build external relationships. On-site, full-time position with opportunities for growth within AdventHealth’s mission-driven

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years in a fundraising foundation role with annual contributions near or above $1 million.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in coordinating donor programs and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and align the foundation's board, committees, and leadership with fundraising goals.
  • Develop and manage relationship-based giving from individuals and businesses (major, planned, blended gifts).
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects across channels.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate documentation and accounting for donations.
  • Provide reports to leadership on goals, progress, and opportunities.
  • Lead annual giving opportunities and promotional plans to drive donor acquisition and upgrades.

Job Description:

Ensures the active and informed engagement of the foundation's board, its committees, and region and campus executives in securing charitable investments to advance the hospital's strategic goals and operational priorities. Collaborates with institutional leadership and the board to establish realistic annual financial goals based on the hospital's strategic priorities. Focuses on relationship-based giving from individuals and businesses through major, planned, and blended gifts. Works with hospital leadership and the foundation's board to identify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects and donors. Collaborates with finance department to ensure accurate documentation, fiscal management, and accountability. Records all donor activity in software management system and ensures all donations are reconciled using management system and other software tools. Ensures prompt and accurate donor acknowledgment and recognition. Provides reports to the board and executive leadership on the foundation's goals, progress, challenges, and opportunities. Collaborates, supports, and plans annual giving opportunities to acquire, renew, and upgrade donors through various channels. Develops the foundation's promotional plans and materials in collaboration with other regional foundations and teams to ensure alignment with brand standards. Presents the foundation's information and updates to campus leadership and new employees. Directs the foundation's board in identifying, engaging, and orienting volunteer board members to meet the foundation's goals. Other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and fundraising software
  • Effective communication with individuals of all levels and backgrounds, including the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a changing organizational environment, including a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
