Bozeman Health is seeking a Philanthropic Advisor to secure support for mission-driven programs and projects. You will collaborate with the Foundation to build donor relationships and manage a portfolio to achieve fundraising goals.
The role requires strategic donor engagement, strong communication, and nonprofit fundraising expertise to drive measurable impact across campaigns and annual giving. Proficiency with Raiser's Edge/NXT is preferred.
The Philanthropic Advisor works in close collaboration with Foundation team members and must be highly motivated to secure financial support for our mission-driven programs and projects. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of fundraising strategies and a self-driven, results-oriented, mindset to achieve fundraising goals and drive measurable impact.
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements. Develop and implement strategies to Identify, cultivate and solicit prospective donors to build authentic relationships and foster long-term relationships. Manage a portfolio of giving relationships, in all stages of development, produce quarterly and annual moves management plans, progress reports and advancement toward fundraising and relationship building metrics following established KPI’s. Produce professional and well-written correspondence and proposals and present an articulate and compelling case for support and supporting stewardship impact reportsdonor communications. Maintain a record of accountability, accuracy and documentation in action reports in the CRM Raisers Edge/NXT, gift agreements, proposals and gift recording. Engage physicians and health system team members as contributors and grateful patient referral sources and build trusting relationships with senior residents and volunteers at health system locations. Implement stewardship tactics in collaboration with Foundation team members. Support a diverse range of philanthropic initiatives to achieve annual, major, event and campaign goals.

Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment. Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines.
This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
