Job summary

UNT Health Fort Worth, through the Center for Human Identification, seeks a Director of Forensic Education Programs to oversee CHI’s forensic training and educational initiatives for scientists, law enforcement, and medicolegal stakeholders. Lead curriculum development, apprenticeship oversight, and collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure comprehensive, effective training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in biology, chemistry or a forensic science-related area.
  • Seven+ years as a qualified forensic DNA analyst in an accredited lab.
  • Hands-on casework experience in extraction, quantification, amplification, and detection.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a training program to support CHI’s Apprenticeship.
  • Coordinate with state oversight agencies and partners to build curriculum.
  • Track progress of apprentices and ensure timely completion of modules.
  • Develop knowledge assessments to gauge apprenticeship effectiveness.
  • Design on-site capstone events and expand CHI training partnerships.
  • Collaborate with CHI ISU and TxDPS to host training programs.
