Job summary

Holland LP in University Park, IL seeks a Director of Operations Fleet and Equipment to lead a nationwide fleet, PM shops, and field operations. You will own the end-to-end PM program, drive reliability, and optimize uptime while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will manage multi-location teams, coordinate with scheduling, inventory, and safety functions, and develop budgets and capital plans to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Fleet Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive fleet, equipment, maintenance, or transportation operations experience.
• 5+ years leading managers and multi-location operations.
• Experience managing budgets, operating expenses, capital expenditures, and equipment lifecycle decisions.
• Strong working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, reliability, uptime, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with parts/inventory management, procurement, OEMs, repair vendors, and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment testing and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PM shops, mobile welding, and fleet assets to meet objectives.
• Lead end-to-end Preventative Maintenance (PM) program planning, scheduling, coordination, execution, and tracking.
• Provide direction for maintaining, repairing, refurbishing, and manufacturing operating equipment to maximize uptime.
• Coordinate between operations, PM shops, scheduling, and inventory to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements including FMCSA, DOT, FRA, and OSHA.
• Develop and oversee budgets for PM shops, fleet maintenance, equipment programs, and capital expenditures.
• Review financial and operational performance using KPIs and drive corrective actions as needed.
