Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial services with a strong Fixed Income operations background.
• Experience leading and developing an operations team.
• Deep knowledge of trade lifecycle for corporate bonds and U.S. Treasuries.
• Exposure to repo, securities financing or fixed income prime brokerage is a plus.
• Understanding of clearing, settlements, trade breaks and post-trade controls.
• Familiarity with DTCC/FICC, Fedwire and institutional settlement processes.
• Experience with fixed income platforms such as Broadridge, Pershing or Bloomberg is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory trade reporting and broker-dealer operational requirements.
• Willingness to obtain FINRA Series 99 if required.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and controls across Front Office, Operations, Tech and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational controls and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automation.
• Manage relationships with third-party technology and service providers.
• Support implementation of new products, workflows, systems and initiatives.
• Ensure processes align with regulatory and internal control requirements.
• Develop procedures, controls and reporting for a scalable, well-controlled environment.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for fixed income operational matters across the organization.

Job description

We are working with an established financial services firm seeking an experienced Head of Fixed Income Operations to lead a team supporting a broad fixed income trading platform.

This individual will oversee day-to-day operational coverage across multiple fixed income products while partnering closely with trading, technology, compliance and other internal teams. The role combines people leadership with hands-on operational oversight and will have significant responsibility for controls, process improvement, vendor management and the continued development of the function.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of financial services experience with a strong background in Fixed Income Operations.
• Previous experience managing and developing an operations team.
• Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle for corporate bonds and U.S. Treasuries.
• Experience supporting repo, securities financing and/or fixed income prime brokerage is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of clearing, settlements, trade breaks, fails and post-trade controls.
• Familiarity with DTCC/FICC, Fedwire and institutional settlement processes.
• Experience working with fixed income trading and operations platforms; exposure to systems such as Broadridge, Pershing, Bloomberg or comparable platforms is preferred.
• Understanding of regulatory trade reporting and broker-dealer operational requirements.
• FINRA Series 99 preferred or willingness to obtain as required.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, strengthen controls and work effectively across Front Office, Operations, Technology and Compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
