Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial services with fixed income operations.
• Experience building and leading an operations team.
• Deep knowledge of corporate bonds and U.S. Treasuries trade lifecycle.
• Experience with repo, securities financing, or fixed income prime brokerage.
• Strong post-trade controls and settlement knowledge.
• Familiarity with DTCC/FICC, Fedwire, and institutional settlements.
• Exposure to platforms like Broadridge, Pershing, Bloomberg.
• Understanding regulatory trade reporting and broker-dealer requirements.

We are working with an established financial services firm seeking an experienced Head of Fixed Income Operations to lead a team supporting a broad fixed income trading platform.

This individual will oversee day-to-day operational coverage across multiple fixed income products while partnering closely with trading, technology, compliance and other internal teams. The role combines people leadership with hands‑on operational oversight and will have significant responsibility for controls, process improvement, vendor management and the continued development of the function.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team responsible for fixed income trade support and post‑trade operations.
• Oversee daily processing and lifecycle management across corporate bonds, U.S. Treasuries, repo and related fixed income products.
• Partner closely with trading and other front‑office teams to resolve operational issues and improve workflows.
• Manage escalations involving trade breaks, failed settlements, allocations and other post‑trade exceptions.
• Oversee settlement, clearing and securities financing processes.
• Support fixed income prime brokerage and customer clearing activity.
• Maintain appropriate operational controls across the function and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automation.
• Manage relationships with third‑party technology and operational service providers.
• Support the implementation of new products, workflows, systems and business initiatives.
• Ensure operational processes remain aligned with applicable regulatory and internal control requirements.
• Develop procedures, controls and reporting to support a scalable and well‑controlled operating environment.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for fixed income operational matters across the organization.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of financial services experience with a strong background in Fixed Income Operations.
• Previous experience managing and developing an operations team.
• Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle for corporate bonds and U.S. Treasuries.
• Experience supporting repo, securities financing and/or fixed income prime brokerage is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of clearing, settlements, trade breaks, fails and post‑trade controls.
• Familiarity with DTCC/FICC, Fedwire and institutional settlement processes.
• Experience working with fixed income trading and operations platforms; exposure to systems such as Broadridge, Pershing, Bloomberg or comparable platforms is preferred.
• Understanding of regulatory trade reporting and broker‑dealer operational requirements.
• FINRA Series 99 preferred or willingness to obtain as required.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, strengthen controls and work effectively across Front Office, Operations, Technology and Compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
