Job summary

Ingevity seeks a Director of Financial External Reporting and Technical Accounting to oversee SEC reporting, technical accounting, and ICOFR across the finance organization. You will manage complex accounting analyses, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with executives to drive transparency in financial disclosures.

The role requires 10-15 years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and a track record in public accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA preferred.
• CPA required.
• 10-15 years of experience.
• Public accounting experience; Big 4 preferred.
• Experience with Workiva SEC filing tool required.
• Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SEC reporting process (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, etc.).
• Oversee preparation of SEC filings and MD&A disclosures.
• Maintain SOX/ICOFR program; ensure internal controls over financial reporting.
• Lead technical accounting analyses for acquisitions, restructurings, and financing.
• Mentor finance staff and collaborate with auditors and senior management.
