Job summary

SESAC in Nashville is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to own the group’s consolidated US GAAP reporting and assist foreign subsidiary teams on technical accounting matters. You will lead research, document conclusions, and support M&A from an accounting perspective while working hands-on with subsidiary teams on consolidation and intercompany eliminations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years in technical accounting/financial reporting.
• 2+ years public accounting preferred.
• Active CPA license required.
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• M&A accounting experience including opening balance sheets.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical accounting research and memo writing.
• Guide accounting for complex transactions and present conclusions.
• Lead AI adoption to improve reporting efficiency.
• Support M&A from accounting and GL perspective.
• Review contracts for proper accounting treatment.
• Prepare US GAAP consolidated financial statements and disclosures.
• Liaise with external auditors and present positions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve reporting accuracy.
• Oversee special projects as assigned.
