Job summary

SESAC in Nashville seeks a Director of Financial Reporting to own the consolidated US GAAP reporting and assist foreign subsidiaries in technical accounting areas as needed. You will lead technical accounting research, review contracts for proper accounting treatment, and support M&A activities from an accounting perspective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in technical accounting/financial reporting.
• Active CPA license required.
• Big 4 experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation & intercompany eliminations.
• Experience with US GAAP and foreign GAAP (IFRS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical accounting research and document conclusions.
• Guide accounting treatments for complex transactions and reflect in financial statements.
• Lead AI adoption to improve reporting efficiency and processes.
• Support M&A activities including purchase accounting and opening balance sheets.
• Review nonstandard contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Lead monthly/quarterly consolidations and group statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and defend accounting positions.
