• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 8+ years in inventory management, supply chain, procurement, or materials management.
• 5+ years leading teams and enterprise-wide operational initiatives.
• Expertise in inventory optimization, demand planning, forecasting, analytics, and working capital management.
• Strong quantitative and financial acumen with ability to translate data into insights.
• Advanced experience with ERP, procurement, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
• Proven success using data and analytics to improve operations and cost savings.
• Experience leading large-scale process improvement, automation, and system transformation.
• Experience in telecommunications, technology, or asset-intensive environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory strategy and performance management to optimize inventory investment, service levels, and working capital.
• Use advanced analytics and forecasting models to improve turns, accuracy, and material availability.
• Establish and monitor KPIs including accuracy, turns, forecast performance, fill rates, aging inventory, and stockouts.
• Develop data-driven replenishment, stocking, transfer, and disposition strategies balancing cost, risk, and service.
• Drive inventory visibility through dashboards, reporting, and analytics for proactive decisions.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and suppliers to align strategies with demand and sourcing.
• Identify opportunities to reduce carrying costs and improve asset utilization.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for inventory issues and forecasting gaps.
• Champion automation and digital transformation to improve data quality and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with inventory controls and governance standards.
• Develop and lead a high-performing analytics team.

About The Role

The Director of Financial Operations and Inventory Strategy is a strategic leader responsible for optimizing inventory performance, working capital, and supply chain efficiency through data-driven decision-making. This role oversees inventory strategy, forecasting, analytics, governance, and operational execution to ensure the right materials are available at the right time while minimizing inventory costs, reducing risk, and maximizing business performance. The position partners closely with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and suppliers to leverage data, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead inventory strategy and performance management to optimize inventory investment, service levels, and working capital.
• Utilize advanced analytics, forecasting models, and inventory optimization methodologies to improve inventory turns, forecast accuracy, and material availability.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, inventory turns, forecast performance, fill rates, aging inventory, excess and obsolete inventory, stockouts, and working capital metrics.
• Develop data-driven replenishment, stocking, transfer, and disposition strategies that balance cost, risk, and service requirements.
• Drive inventory visibility through dashboards, reporting, and performance analytics that enable proactive decision-making and operational accountability.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and suppliers to align inventory strategies with demand trends, sourcing strategies, and business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to reduce inventory carrying costs, improve asset utilization, and enhance supply chain productivity through continuous analysis and optimization.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to inventory discrepancies, shortages, forecasting gaps, fulfillment issues, and inventory exceptions.
• Champion process automation, system enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives that improve scalability, data quality, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with inventory controls, audit requirements, procurement policies, and governance standards.
• Develop and lead a high-performing team focused on analytical rigor, continuous improvement, and results-driven execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Operations, Analytics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in inventory management, supply chain, procurement, or materials management.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams and enterprise-wide operational initiatives.
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory optimization, demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, and working capital management.
• Strong quantitative and financial acumen with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
• Advanced experience with ERP, inventory management, procurement, reporting, and business intelligence platforms.
• Proven success using data and analytics to drive operational improvements, cost savings, and service enhancements.
• Experience leading large-scale process improvement, automation, and system transformation initiatives.
• Experience in telecommunications, technology, field operations, or other asset-intensive environments preferred.
