Abacus Group is seeking a Director, Financial Control (Banking) to join their Jersey City, NJ team. The role partners with the U.S. Controller to drive strategic initiatives, oversee month-end close, and ensure rigorous financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.

Responsibilities include coordinating across U.S. banking entities, managing internal/external audits, and leading finance transformation initiatives with automation and analytics.

Competenze

• 8+ years of relevant experience in financial control or accounting.
• Banking industry experience is required.
• Big 4 or combination of Big 4 and industry experience.

• Partner with the U.S. Controller to support strategic initiatives, governance activities, and key business objectives.
• Coordinate accounting, reporting, and controllership activities across U.S. banking entities and head office stakeholders.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for timely, accurate financial reporting.
