Job summary

Waupaca Foundry, Inc. is seeking a Director of Financial Analytics to lead a finance business partner team across functions and deliver board-ready analyses.

The role reports to the CFO and partners with the executive leadership team to drive capital decisions and strategic planning. The position blends hands-on modeling with leadership, establishing analytical standards, developing people, and delivering rigorous, data-driven insights using Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude as tools to augment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA a plus but not required.
• 10+ years in FP&A, Consulting, or Analytics; experience within a manufacturing business unit is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience creating and owning board-level presentations.
• Track record managing and developing a team.
• Strong cross-functional partnering experience.
• AS400 and/or SAP experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and set the analytical standard for a team of finance business partners.
• Build and hire the FP&A team from the ground up, coaching them to broader ownership roles.
• Hold the team accountable to ownership, rigor, and board-ready output.
• Own the largest and most complex analyses spanning multiple functions, including areas not yet covered by a dedicated member.
• Serve as a thought partner to the Executive Leadership Team and finance partners.
• Reach defensible conclusions when working with messy or incomplete data.
• Develop capital request presentations and business cases from analysis through executive and board-level presentation.
• Serve as the primary interface to the CFO on financial analytics and forward-looking modeling.
• Stay forward-thinking on AI and data tools; Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude available to support work.
