Job Description:
The Director, Finance Systems is responsible for supervising and coordinating all daily, weekly, and monthly financial processing and system administration responsibilities. This role ensures an effective suite of Finance Systems, including (but not limited to) Oracle Cloud, OneStream, and other operating systems interacting with ERP or financial reporting systems. The role provides leadership to enhance business processes supporting efficient accounting and reporting. The Director will collaborate closely with Oracle, IT, and project management teams to identify new features and opportunities for efficiency improvements. This is a new role, offering the opportunity to influence its direction and scope.
Key Responsibilities - Essential Functions
- Influence the roadmap of finance system transformation in partnership with CFO, CAO, and IT.
- Maintain and develop systems and practices within the Finance Organization to ensure timely, accurate, and customer-focused service delivery.
- Ensure transactional service departments meet business requirements as per Service Level Agreements.
- Manage service delivery with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Support data repositories, integration processes, analysis, visualization, and reporting tools.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure efficient finance systems services.
- Provide service delivery to internal and external customers.
- Develop team skills to meet functional requirements and cover absences or departures.
- Implement innovative process improvements relating to finance systems.
- Foster collaboration between Finance and IT departments.
- Deliver Oracle FMIS training as needed.
- Support system updates, integrity, and security.
- Support other Finance groups to enhance overall Financial Services delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality and awareness of privacy issues when handling financial data.
Leadership Responsibilities

Competencies - Skills
- Process-oriented mindset with ability to analyze and optimize workflows.
- Experience with ERP implementations, especially Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Ability to leverage technology for process enhancement, including digital tools.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
- At least 5 years in financial systems management, including managerial or lead roles.
- Experience with financial statement preparation is a plus.
- Proficiency with ERP systems like Oracle Fusion Cloud or OneStream.
- Effective communication, organization, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA/MBA is a plus.
Job Specifications and Work Environment
- Based in Schaumburg, IL, in a professional office environment.
- Full-time position.
- Some travel may be required between company locations.

Pay Range
$139,700 - $195,600. Compensation varies based on experience, education, skills, and location. Final offers depend on multiple factors.
