Job summary

Emerge is seeking a Director of Finance Business Partner for Technology Infrastructure in O’Fallon, Missouri. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for a major tech portfolio, partnering with senior technology and finance leaders. Strong FP&A, TBM, and cross‑functional collaboration are essential.

You will coach finance teams, drive process improvements, and manage large contracts and pricing analyses, with a focus on optimizing investments and controlling costs.

Director, Finance Business Partner - Technology Infrastructure

Overview

Emerge is looking for an experienced Director, Finance Business Partner to support a global technology infrastructure organization. This leader will partner closely with senior technology and finance stakeholders to manage financial performance, optimize investments, and guide planning and business decisions across a complex global portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, target setting, and management reporting for a designated technology business area.
• Manage, coach, and develop finance team members through goal setting, performance management, and talent development.
• Drive process improvement, ensure compliance with internal controls and Enterprise Risk Management policies, and lead ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
• Support deal, contract, pricing, and business‑case analysis, including risk and opportunity assessment for new initiatives and customer agreements.
• Apply Technology Business Management (TBM) principles to allocate technology costs, support product P&L management, and improve transparency of infrastructure investments.
• Partner across Technology, Finance, Sourcing, business units, and regions to assess opportunities, manage large agreements, and align spending with strategic priorities.
• Provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership, including variance analysis, investment evaluation, performance metrics, and recommendations to improve results.

Qualifications

• Strong finance business partnering experience within a Technology organization, with hands‑on FP&A expertise and ownership of a large, complex portfolio.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience leading and developing finance professionals and supporting complex global reporting, planning, and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Proven success working cross‑functionally in a matrixed, global environment while managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior executives, deliver executive‑level presentations, and communicate complex financial information clearly and persuasively.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Oracle and Hyperion; Apptio, TBM, and Agile IT methodology experience preferred.
• Advanced budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, management reporting, financial modeling, and general accounting/internal controls knowledge.

Work Environment

Location: O'Fallon, Missouri.

Target base salary: $150,000-$160,000, with potential annual bonus eligibility; broader posted market range may vary by experience and location.
