Job summary

Ladders seeks a Director of Operational Finance to partner with divisional leadership in a remote capacity across the Enterprise Technology space. You will translate performance into actionable insights, standardize reporting, drive budgeting/forecasting, and illuminate operational drivers with executive clarity.

You will influence senior stakeholders, identify risks, support M&A analysis, and lead cost-saving initiatives while ensuring accurate monthly closes and strategic financial planning

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of FP&A and finance partnering in SaaS.
• Strong SaaS metrics knowledge: ARR, bookings, retention.
• Skilled in financial modeling and variance analysis for executives.
• Experience influencing senior leaders without direct authority.
• Experience with private-equity-backed companies and lender reporting.
• Familiar with M&A processes, including synergy tracking and integration.
• Proficiency with planning platforms like Pigment, Adaptive, or Anaplan.

Responsibilities

• Drive consistency in financial reporting across divisions by standardizing metrics.
• Shape the annual budget by incorporating divisional context and priorities.

• Own tracking of below-the-line adjustments and report progress to Corporate Finance.
• Support the monthly and quarterly close with variance analysis and commentary.
• Collaborate with shared services roles to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Lead synergy identification for M&A activities within the division.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Director of Operational Finance to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will serve as a key finance partner to divisional leadership, helping translate business performance into actionable financial insight. The Director will strengthen reporting consistency, support budgeting and forecasting, and bring clear visibility to operational drivers across the division. This position will also play an important role in identifying risks, improving efficiency, and supporting M&A-related analysis and integration efforts. It is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $160,000 - $170,000 annually
