Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Director, Network Operations Market Lead to head all fiber deployment and operations across the Phoenix market. This role will oversee OSP engineering, planning, construction, installation readiness, and contractor performance to ensure safe, efficient broadband delivery.

Collaborate with PMO, Finance, Supply Chain, and executive leadership to drive market performance and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, fiber network construction, OSP engineering, broadband operations, or network infrastructure delivery.
  • At least 2+ years of leadership experience managing employees, contractors, vendors, or market-level operations.
  • Experience leading large-scale fiber deployment, OSP construction, engineering, installation or repair programs.
  • Strong understanding of fiber network deployment, OSP design, construction practices, permitting, contractor management, and field operations.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, vendors, and cross-functional deliverables.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational execution.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fiber network construction and operational activities across the Phoenix market.
  • Manage contractor, vendor, and partner performance to meet milestones and quality standards.
  • Oversee market schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, and operational readiness.
  • Review and approve project scopes, construction plans, work schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, PMO, Finance, Supply Chain, MDU, and Operations teams to remove roadblocks and accelerate delivery.
  • Monitor construction progress, safety compliance, permitting, and regulatory obligations.
  • Resolve escalated issues, contractor disputes, and delivery risks.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on project status, milestones, budget performance, and market health.
  • Lead and develop employees, contractors, and market teams through coaching and performance management.
  • Represent the organization with municipalities, utilities, contractors, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, customer readiness, and long-term network reliability.

Compensation: $155k-$190k. Target bonus: 19%

Job Overview

The Director, Network Operations Market Lead is responsible for leading all fiber network deployment and operational activities across the Phoenix market. This individual will oversee OSP engineering, planning, construction, installation readiness, repair support, contractor performance, budget management, and operational execution to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of broadband infrastructure. The role serves as the primary market leader, partnering closely with Construction, Engineering, PMO, Finance, Supply Chain, MDU, Installation & Repair, and executive leadership to drive market performance, operational readiness, and business objectives.

Day-to-Day
