Job summary

ERM is seeking a Consulting Director, Environmental FERC to lead complex, high-profile energy projects in the United States. You will direct environmental permitting strategies, manage cross-functional teams, and engage with regulators to advance natural gas, LNG, hydrogen, and renewables initiatives while supporting ERM’s growth in energy practice.

Qualifications

10+ years of environmental permitting experience on FERC-regulated projects.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and client engagements.
Strong knowledge of NEPA, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act.
Ability to travel frequently to client sites across the United States.
Prior consulting experience is required.

Responsibilities

Lead environmental impact assessments and regulatory permitting activities for large projects.
Manage interdisciplinary teams and primary client engagement.
Develop regulatory permitting strategies and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
Support business development and maintain client relationships for repeat work.
Deliver high-quality technical and regulatory solutions within schedule and budget.
