Job summary

Aston Group is seeking a Facilities Management Director to oversee all physical aspects of the care facility, including service of electrical and mechanical systems, maintenance of equipment, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

The role requires strong leadership of maintenance staff and contractors, expert knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, and a proactive approach to safety and cost‑effective operations within a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–5 years of supervisory experience with technical, managerial and financial responsibilities.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA/EPA regulations for facility operation in nursing care facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems: plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to plan maintenance schedules and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with OSHA, EPA, and fire codes for the facility.
• Supervise maintenance staff and contractors to complete work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect life safety systems and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program for building systems.
• Create and maintain maintenance schedules and equipment records.
• Monitor budgets, capital projects, and inventory of parts and supplies.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure licenses and insurance are current.
• Assist in recruitment and supervision of maintenance personnel.
